about IZAZOV!
IZAZOV! brings together filmmaking and youth activism to empower young people in Bosnia to amplify their voices and engage with civil society networks. In a context where opportunities for active youth participation are limited, the project builds skills, extends networks, and fosters solidarity with regional change-makers. Linked to The Complete Freedom of Truth network, IZAZOV! also aims to grow into a wider European platform, creating an open forum for youth-led documentary filmmaking. Developed as part of the Changing the Story initiative and supported by King’s College London, the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology, Opera Circus, and international research funds, the project explores how arts, heritage, and human rights education can strengthen youth-centered civil society in post-conflict settings.
my involvement.
I immersed myself fully in the project, meeting the team, joining their meetings and workshops, watching young people create and share their stories. Their confidence and determination to shape their world, along with the courage to express their inner truth, deeply inspired me. I felt that a project born from such raw, youthful energy deserved a visual identity that could truly honor the strength of its message.
IZAZOV!, meaning “Challenge!” in BHS, reflects the spirit of young people who question their surroundings, seek change, and choose to live with intention. The color palette was designed to be bold and memorable, drawing the eye and sparking curiosity. At the center of the logo, the exclamation mark unites the letters while subtly echoing the shape of a megaphone, a symbol of voice and expression. The use of yellow and blue brings a sense of awareness and clarity, inspiring confident action and the courage to create change.
